The Dry season in the Territory brings about many opportunities for fun, entertainment, and community engagement. As the winter months roll in, we wanted to bring you a round-up of our favourite exciting upcoming events in and around Zuccoli. From art workshops to street parties, puppet shows to festivals, there is a diverse range of activities to keep everyone entertained.

July: Celebrating Culture

July 1 – NT Day: As July arrives, Zuccoli and its surrounds are buzzing with a variety of exciting events that celebrate identity, youth, and the arts. July 1 marks NT Day, a special day that recognises the Northern Territory’s declaration of independence from the Commonwealth in 1978. Join the celebrations happening across the state, including the City of Palmerston’s grand fireworks display, which will light up the night sky and provide a fitting end to the day of festivities.

July 8 – July 14 – Palmerston Youth Festival: This week-long event offers an incredible array of free activities catered to the interests of our kids and teens. From arts and sports to live music and geek culture, the festival promises something for everyone. The highlight of the week is an electrifying live music concert featuring both local and interstate talent. Be sure to mark your calendars and immerse yourself in a week of youthful energy and excitement.

July 14 – July 23 – Darwin Fringe Festival: Serving as the Top End’s biggest platform for emerging arts, the festival welcomes performers and artists from all genres, including theatre, circus, spoken word, and much more. Spread across 30 venues in Darwin and its surrounds, the Darwin Fringe Festival promises around 100 unique events that showcase the region’s creative talents.

August: Finding Something New!

August 10 – 27 – Darwin Festival: Australia’s hottest winter arts festival combines the quintessential spirit and energy of Darwin with warm outdoor festivities and a vibrant program of events for an unforgettable good time!

August 12 – Reboot Your Loot: The Reboot Your Loot Car Park sale is the perfect opportunity to clear out your own clutter and find a new bargain or two while you’re at it! There’s plenty of stall holder tickets available, so be sure to secure your spot.

August 17 – Nighttime Wildlife Walk at Howard Springs Nature Park: We are so fortunate to have some really unique wildlife in Australia and especially in the Territory. You can explore Howard Springs Nature Park with a Ranger and discover the wildlife inhabitants that get to enjoy the Park once the sun goes down.
