Our community spirit was in full swing as we celebrated the grand opening of the Michael Ting Park. The mornings lovely schedule included a sausage sizzle breakfast and drinks provided by MIX FM, chocolate, juice and fruit provided by Land Development Corporation, face painting for the kids and of course all the play and fitness equipment to try out.

The playground buzzed with activity, and the joyful atmosphere was a testament to our strong community.

We dedicated this wonderful space to the memory of Michael Tien-Lok Ting, the first mayor of the Palmerston area in 1985. Mr. Ting’s legacy as a devoted advocate for equal opportunities, especially in education, resonates deeply within our community. It is an honor and a privilege to dedicate this park to his memory, as a symbol of his enduring contributions to our community’s well-being.
