As Easter approaches, Zuccoli and its surrounds promise a plethora of exciting events suitable for the entire family. From engaging activities to delectable homemade treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Saturday March 23rd: Palmerston has some fantastic events leading up to Easter, including an advance screening of Kung Fu Panda 4 on Saturday, March 23rd from 12pm – 4pm at Event Cinemas Gateway Palmerston.

Sunday March 24th: Get creative with their arts and crafts event at Palmerston Shopping Centre from 10am -1pm! Bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny at Zuccoli Plaza from 10am – 11am and at Palmerston Shopping Centre from 11.30am -12.30pm on the same day.

If you’re looking for something to do over the long weekend, visit Howard Springs Tavern for live music, an Easter fairy visit, and a free basket of eggs with a meal purchase.

If you prefer to stay at home and have some fun with the kids, you can bake and create something simple yet delicious. One of the best Easter treats that children love to make is Chocolate Nests.

Chocolate Nest Recipe

• 200g milk chocolate (this can be chopped or chips) 
• 20g butter, chopped
• 100g fried noodles 
• 1/2 cup shredded coconut, toasted
• 60 M&M’s Speckled Eggs 

Method: 

• Add chocolate and butter to a saucepan and melt over the stove.
• Stir until the chocolate melts and mixture is smooth, then remove from heat and add the fried noodles and coconut. Stir to combine. 
• Line a baking tray with baking paper.
• Place the mixture in individual small mounds on the baking tray, creating a small hollow in the centre of each mound.
• Place 3 eggs in each hollow and set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. 
• Store in an airtight container
