This Just In – A Round-up of Exciting Zuccoli News 

Our recent unmissable events blog focused on the exciting events happening in the Territory over the next few months. Today we’re bringing this list a little closer to home with a roundup of exciting Zuccoli news, launches and updates.

Drumming Monkeys a hit: Recently, the Amazing Drumming Monkeys played a free show at the Zuccoli Plaza. There was an incredible turnout with many excited kids and families joining in the fun!  A special thank you to the Zuccoli Plaza and the Amazing Drumming Monkeys for putting on such a fabulous and entertaining event.

Zuccoli Plaza welcomes Tindahang Pinoy Hub: A new Filipino Specialty Grocer and takeaway Tindahang Pinoy Hub has recently been added to the lineup of stores at Zuccoli Plaza. Open daily from 11am – 7pm, the store features a host of Filipino favourites that customers can indulge in.  

Tindahang Pinoy Hub is one of many new stores set to open in Zuccoli Plaza in the coming months. We’re so excited to see continued growth and to support our thriving local businesses!

Zuccoli Residents back CEO Sleepout: Not only are we seeing exciting changes to the shape of our community, our residents are shining as well. This year’s Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout took place on the 22nd of June, with business and community leaders encouraged to sign up to sleep outside for a night to truly understand the effects of homelessness while raising funds to support Australians experiencing homelessness. Zuccoli IGA’s Shellie Lay, took part in this year’s Sleepout, and has raised a staggering $3,433, funding 10 individual support programs, 28 beds and 114 meals to those in need. Incredible work Shellie!

Michael Ting Park Opening Event: In Zuccoli Village news, on the weekend of August 5th, we had our official playground opening where we dedicated the playground to Michael Tien-Lok Ting who was the first ever mayor of the Palmerston area in 1985. Mr Ting was truly committed to the Palmerston community, advocating for equal opportunities for all its members, especially in education. We couldn’t be more proud to dedicate this space to such a pillar of the community.
